We will not surrender a centimeter of our land: Zelensky on the difficult situation at the front

The war continues, the intensity of the fighting has not decreased since the beginning of autumn. The Russian invaders are suffering losses, so are we.

At the same time, there is a slight decline in news from the front in the information space.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his video address after the results of the 258th day of the war.

“The situation is dire on the entire front. In some areas, as before, fierce positional fighting continues, and it is particularly severe in the Donetsk region. The activity of the occupiers there remains at an extremely high level – dozens of attacks every day. They are suffering extremely large-scale losses, but their order has not changed” – to head towards the administrative border of the Donetsk region. We will not surrender an inch of our land there.”– said the head of state.

In addition to the hostilities, the repair works of all energy facilities damaged by the latest Russian strikes continue.

Yesterday, November 8, the government of Ukraine made an important decision that will help pass the winter period: the import of goods needed during the heating season will be exempted from payment of VAT and import duties. This should simplify and reduce the cost of supplying Ukraine with generators, batteries, transformers and other equipment for the supply of energy and heat.

It is also important to accumulate sufficient quantities of gas and coal to provide for the Ukrainians.

“We clearly understand: turning winter into a weapon is the plan of a terrorist state against our country, as well as against the whole of Europe. But we are doing everything to make this Russian plan fail, as well as various previous onesZelensky summarized.

The president noted that continued Russian aggression has a destabilizing effect on the entire world. And the problem of climate destruction has not left the world agenda. Therefore, anyone serious about the climate agenda should consider the need to immediately halt Russian aggression, restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity, and force Russia to end the war.
