The Russian occupiers announced that they were withdrawing from Kherson after blowing up the Darius Bridge in the Kherson region. The corresponding order was given by the Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergei Shoigu.
The minister ordered a withdrawal from Kherson after the report of the commander of the occupation forces, Sergei Surovikin, who stated the need to make a difficult decision so that Russian soldiers could occupy the defenses of the left bank of the Dnieper as soon as possible.
Ukrainian defenders do not rule out provocations on the part of the occupiers and creating a false impression on their part about the true intentions of the Russians in the Kherson region.
Natalia Humenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces, commented to Gromadsky about the alleged withdrawal of the Russians from Kherson.
She reminded of the need to observe informational silence during a military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the occupiers are trying to fill the information space with their messages to prepare excuses in case of a quick failure and disorient the local population and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. – explained Humeniuk.
It is still too early to talk about the surrender of Kherson, says Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the president’s office.
“Actions speak louder than words. Ukraine sees no signs that Russia is leaving Kherson without a fight. A significant part of the ru group is stored in the city, additional reserves are being gathered in the region. Ukraine is liberating territories based on intelligence, not staged televised statements“, — wrote Podolyak on Twitter.
Earlier, the military expert, former deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun said that the operation to liberate Kherson will be difficult and slow, despite the fact that Russia has been spreading rumors about its alleged intention to leave Kherson for several weeks in a row.
