The Russians are trying to retain the temporarily occupied territories, are concentrating their efforts on restraining the actions of the defense forces in certain directions and are conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdi and Novopavli directions. This is stated in a message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The enemy is shelling units of the Defense Forces along the line of contact, carrying out border fortification equipment in separate directions and conducting reconnaissance from the air. It continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian homes in violation of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched 3 missile and 3 air strikes, carried out more than 5 attacks from rocket salvo systems. Areas of 7 settlements in Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv and Sumy regions were hit by enemy attacks.reported by the General Staff.
It noted that the Russians continued to grossly violate the laws and customs of war against the civilian population.
“In the Kherson region, private boats are being destroyed en masse along the banks of the Dnieper. Engines and other property from vessels are appropriated by the occupiers. After the sinking of civilian ships, some of the fuel fell into the river delta and directly threatens the ecosystem of the Nizhnedneprovsky National Nature Park. The forced evacuation of the population from the temporarily occupied territories continues. In the village of Berislav, local residents were ordered to leave by November 10. The main reason given by the occupiers is the possible destruction by the Defense Forces of Ukraine of the dam of the Kakhovskaya HPP”the message says.
The General Staff confirmed the defeat of the enemy in the previous days in the Kherson region. Thus, in the village of Kakhovka, an attack was carried out against a building where up to 200 enemy soldiers were stationed. A large column of military equipment was destroyed in the area of the village of Radensk.
“During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 18 strikes against the enemy. 17 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as the positions of the occupiers’ air defense equipment, were affected. Air defense units shot down 3 UAVs.
