The Russian military likely used a significant portion of its precision weapons systems in the November 15 coordinated missile strikes.
The Institute for the Study of War notes that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on November 15, Ukrainian air defense systems shot down more than 70 Russian cruise missiles and all drones, and also recalled that 43 cruise missiles went of 84 and 13 drones of 24 were downed during the attack by Russian air defense forces on October 10.

According to analysts, the Kremlin may have deliberately planned massive missile strikes on Ukraine in anticipation of Zelensky’s speech at the G20 meeting in Indonesia, given that a multi-pronged missile campaign requires serious military preparation.
The Institute for the Study of War also noted that Russia’s pro-war social media community claimed that “the Kremlin retaliated for Zelensky’s ‘Russophobic’ remarks shortly after his speech.” According to analysts, the impossibility of such a large-scale attack in a short period of time underscores the Kremlin’s disinterest in preparing for negotiations with Ukraine.
We will recall that on November 16, the General Staff specified that the Defense Forces shot down 75 enemy missiles and 14 drones.
