“Helped the occupiers to escape from the Ukrainian troops along forest paths”: a traitor was detained in the Donetsk region

Secret service officials detained another associate who “gave” the Russians the location of members of the resistance movement during the temporary occupation of the territory of the Liman municipality.

“An enemy supporter showed the aggressors the houses of local farmers who had left the area. The invaders first looted such households, then settled their personnel in them and disguised military equipment in the yards. During the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donetsk region, the attacker helped the occupiers to escape from the Ukrainian troops along forest paths. He then tried to evade justice.”SBU reported.

The seller was revealed immediately after the de-occupation of the neighborhood. The detainee is a resident of the village of Stari Karavan, who voluntarily went to assist the enemy at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

He provided the occupiers with the personal data of Ukrainian patriots and the addresses of their relatives.

The perpetrator is notified of suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111−1 (providing assistance to illegal armed formations of the aggressor state in conducting military operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court ordered him to be remanded in custody.

Earlier, in the Kyiv region, SBU officers uncovered and detained a traitor who participated in punitive actions of the racists in Buch and helped the enemy to identify and physically destroy members of the resistance movement. After the liberation of the region from the racists, he voluntarily formed a local territorial community, where he hoped to avoid justice under the guise of a defender. In the future, the seller plans to pass on intelligence to the occupiers.
