A tragedy in the Kharkiv region: the whole family died trying to warm themselves with gas burners

A family with children lived in Balaklia, Kharkiv Oblast, where civilians continue to be blown up by landmines.

According to the police of the Kharkiv region, a local resident found her relatives in the apartment without signs of life.

In the apartment, the police found the bodies of a 59-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man and girls aged 6 and 13.

“The complainant said that due to the low temperature in the house, the family sometimes turned on gas burners as heating. During the inspection, DSNS and Gas Service officials found that the gas hood in the apartment was blocked and not functioning.the message says.

According to the examination, the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning. Based on this fact, the investigators initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note “accident”.

Let’s recall that the 42-year-old judge of the Krasnograd District Court, Dmytro Konstantinov, was recently killed in the Kharkiv region, helping sappers to neutralize the deadly “gifts” of the enemy. This happened in the de-occupied village of Borshova.
