Young Novgorodians are invited to fill the interregional film reserve – “Novgorod” newspaper Veliky Novgorod

From December this year, young Novgorodians will be able to learn about a number of professions in the field of cinematography and receive appropriate professional retraining. On the basis of the Polytechnic College of Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav Mudry, the project “Interregional Film Reserve of Creative Youth” was launched.

As explained in the regional Ministry of Education, professional retraining programs are implemented by the Faculty of Additional Education of the State Institute of Cinema and Television in St. Petersburg. The project itself is implemented in seven regional film commissions: Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk, Veliky Novgorod, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk.

Novgorod participants will have their own program. Lectures to the students will be given by leading professors of the university. Young specialists will learn about the composition of the filming crews, the characteristics of the professions of the screenwriter and the gaffer (a specialist in charge of the lighting equipment on the set. – approx. ed.), learn about cinematic networks.

The program is designed for two months and will last until January 2023. Those who successfully master it will receive a diploma of professional retraining, giving the right to carry out professional activities in the field of cinema.

The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Persons over 18 years of age with a higher or secondary professional education, as well as students, are allowed to participate in the project.

Information about the conditions for participation in the program and the necessary documents will be published on the official websites of the Film Commission of the Novgorod Region, as well as the State Institute of Cinema and Television in St. Petersburg in the near future.
