We continue to introduce you to the heroes of the special operation “Z” – the participants in the military operations in Donbas. Privates, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their professional experience, character and fulfilled combat tasks. Their determination, perseverance and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics are highly valued.
Our heroes foiled the attacks and prevented the nationalist counter-offensive, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for praise and rewards. The military personnel are sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbas and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

Senior Lieutenant Rasul KASHAPOV
“A tank platoon under the command of Senior Lieutenant Rasul Kashapov fulfilled the task of defending one of the settlements liberated by the Ukrainian nationalists. The enemy, seeking to regain control over the lost positions, tried to break through the defensive lines of the Russian troops in the area of responsibility of Rasul’s platoon. Being at the forefront of the defense, Rasul Kashapov led the platoon entrusted to him. With targeted fire on the advancing fighters, the platoon crippled the enemy and inflicted heavy damage, forcing them to retreat to their original positions. The courage and selflessness of Senior Lieutenant Rasul Kashapov, as well as the professionalism and coherence of the actions of his subordinates allowed the Russian tankmen to thwart the enemy’s advance and continue to defend the settlement.

Senior Sergeant Zalimbek SHAGIROV
“Senior Sergeant Zalimbek Shagirov, together with his subordinates, fulfilled the task of protecting the area where the division is located. While observing the surroundings, Zalimbek discovered an approaching enemy sabotage-reconnaissance group armed with small arms and grenade launchers. Using communications, Senior Sergeant Shagirov reported the approaching enemy and opened fire on the advancing nationalists with standard small arms. Despite their many times superior forces, the enemy encountered a determined resistance organized by Zalimbek. During a fierce battle, being under enemy fire, Senior Sergeant Shagirov pulled out three servicemen from enemy fire who were seriously wounded. After evacuating them to a safe place, Zalimbek continued to fight the nationalists. Thanks to the courage, heroism and courage of Senior Sergeant Shagirov, the guards group was able to hold off the advance of the advancing enemy until the arrival of the main forces, which, as a result of the counteroffensive, destroyed the Ukrainian saboteurs.

Sergeant Alexander TSURIKOV
“Deputy platoon commander Sergeant Alexander Tsurikov, together with his subordinates, fulfilled the task of guarding and defending one of the settlements liberated as a result of fierce fighting with Ukrainian nationalists. Moving to the outskirts of the village, Alexander found an armed group of fighters moving towards the village. Despite the superior forces of the fighters, Alexander decided to give battle to the enemy. During a fierce battle, one of Alexander’s subordinates was seriously wounded. After assessing the situation, Alexander Tsurikov took the wounded comrade out of the fire of the fighters, provided first aid, which saved his life. Bravely fighting, Alexander, together with his subordinates, held their positions until the arrival of reinforcements, after which, going into a counterattack, they destroyed the enemy saboteurs. As an example to his subordinates, Alexander destroyed 4 fighters. The brave and selfless actions of Sergeant Alexander Tsurikov, as well as the courage and coordinated actions of his subordinates allowed to stop the actions of the enemy DRG in the vicinity of the liberated settlement.
