The main issues raised by the governor of the Novgorod region Andrei Nikitin and the mayor of Veliky Novgorod Alexander Rozbaum were devoted to the construction of a school on the side of Torgovaya and the upcoming repair of the road. Also, the leaders of the region and the city discussed the topic of improvement.
The mayor of Veliky Novgorod thanked the governor for his assistance in beautifying the Kremlin park – for this purpose, 60 million rubles were allocated to the regional center from the regional budget. The reconstruction of the embankment of Alexander Nevsky in the area of the “Russia” hotel is currently underway, which should be completed next year.
The improvement of other public and yard areas is also a priority. As the mayor noted, the Derevyanitsa and Krechevitsa districts, which are far from the center, will be a priority. According to Alexander Rozbaum, an important role in this matter is played by enterprising residents who participate in the implementation of the “Our Choice”, “The Way to Home” and “Territorial Public Self-Government” projects. To date, 17 TOS have been created in Veliky Novgorod, which makes it possible to more actively use the initiative budgeting mechanism in solving landscaping problems.
The governor instructed the mayor to start the development of a municipal program for the repair of facades in the historical part of Veliky Novgorod.
“We will think about how to implement this program through the fund for major repairs. The city center is beautiful, the appearance of the historical buildings should be sorted out. How many positive people added when the facades of Ilyina Street were repaired, but we still have many such interesting buildings,” said Andrey Nikitin.
He also added that architectural lighting must be provided during the renovation of building facades.
In addition, during the meeting, the mayor and the regional governor discussed the preparation of the municipal services of the city for the winter.
Summarizing the meeting, Alexander Rozbaum noted that this year, with the support of the regional and federal budgets, the volume of the treasury of Veliky Novgorod exceeded 7 billion rubles, which made it possible to build a socio-economic policy for the development of the city for the future. With joint efforts, projects were implemented in the field of tourism, road works, city improvement and communal economy.
