The agenda of the next session of the Veliky Novgorod Duma (October 28) included the issue of a new social support measure for the families of mobilized Novgorodians, namely free travel for children mobilized in city public transport.
Today, the Council of the Duma approved the change in the agenda.
It is planned to provide free travel to the children of citizens called up for military service by mobilization, citizens who have entered into a contract for military service, citizens who have entered into a contract for voluntary assistance in the performance of the tasks assigned to the Armed Forces. of the Russian Federation participating in a special military operation from February 24, 2022. The allowance is provided to children receiving basic general and secondary general education in general educational institutions of Veliky Novgorod and is applied to travel in automobile and urban ground electric public transport on regular city routes.
“The support measure is planned to enter into force on November 1. I am sure that all deputies will approve the decision,” commented Alexey Mityunov, Chairman of the Duma of Veliky Novgorod.
It is reported that the necessary funds to compensate for the lost revenue of the carriers will be provided in the budget of Veliky Novgorod.
