Novgorod Oblast is one of the leaders in the Northwest region in the production of vegetables, including potatoes and meat. Provides basic food products. Over the past five years, the contribution of agriculture to the production of agricultural products has increased more than one and a half times. Dairy production is also growing in the region.
This was said at an event dedicated to the professional holiday of workers in agriculture and processing industry.
– This year, thanks to the good budget situation, we were able to double the support for agriculture – up to 300 million rubles. As a result, you have the opportunity to invest in development. And this directly affects the development of the village. Federal investments in our region in 2023 under the state program for rural development, according to which the social infrastructure is restored, will be significantly greater than in the previous three years. You are working successfully, we are trying to help you, and the Russian Federation is giving us more money so that people in the province can live comfortably,” said Governor Andrey Nikitin.
Next year, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, 457.9 million rubles from the federal and regional budgets will be allocated for the implementation of rural development projects.

Andrey Nikitin presented regional and departmental awards to specialists working in agricultural enterprises, in companies engaged in processing agricultural products, and farmers.
The winners and prize-winners of the prestigious All-Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn – 2022” received their awards. Novgorodians won four gold, four silver and one bronze medal.
