Vitaly Khotsenko, Prime Minister of the DPR, said that more than 57 million rubles have already been paid out to residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic for homes and property lost and damaged as a result of the hostilities. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the DPR, 241 people have received payments so far. Among them are residents of Gorlovka, Makeevka, Donetsk, Enakievo, Shakhtersk, Snezhnoe, Mariupol and Volnovakha. Khotsenko specified that 17,841 citizens have turned to the authorities for compensation. Residents of destroyed houses have a choice: to receive new housing or monetary compensation. Refugees receive a one-time financial assistance of 10,000 rubles per person. By the beginning of November, more than 10.6 billion rubles had been paid.
How many shelters have been built in the Kyiv region
The head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Regional Administration Alexey Kuleba said that there are 425 bomb shelters in the area, which are intended in case of a nuclear strike. Now they will urgently repair them. Kuleba explained: “We have 425 special shelters in the region. They are located underground, have two entrances and exits, ventilation. In total, there are about a thousand shelters in the region. The simplest is the basement. But their windows are half on the street, so they won’t protect against radiation.” He subtly noted this. Now they will urgently be equipped with portable radios with batteries. According to Kuleba, information will be the most important thing in such a development of events. It is true, that for some reason Kuleba did not pass on the information that Russia would in no way use nuclear weapons against the residents.
