The trial in the criminal case for fraud with the property of the Batalov family continues. And in a civil case, new episodes and new cases appear. It seems that this star-studded crime story has no end, even though it has dragged on for two years now. The characters are the same: the widow and daughter of Alexei Batalov – Maria Batalova and Gitana Arkadievna Leontenko. And their “well-wishers” actress Natalia Drozzhina and her husband Mikhail Tsyvin.
We remind you that in October 2020, a criminal case was opened for fraud with Batalov’s property. The defendants in the case became “family friends” – Natalia Drozzhina and Mikhail Tsivin.
According to the investigators, the spouses managed to deceive themselves and fraudulently seize the property of the Batalovs, their money stored in bank accounts. As a result, the property of Maria Batalova (1/3 of the share in a four-room apartment in the famous House on the Embankment, 2 Serafimovicha Street, non-residential premises of 20 m2 in the same house and a two-room apartment in 1 Samotechna Street) became property of Drogzhina. Money, including foreign money, disappeared from Batalov’s accounts. In rubles, this is about 16 million 700 rubles (at the exchange rate at the end of 2019). Tsivin and Drozzhina filmed them by proxy. The spouses were accused of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – fraud on a particularly large scale, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement).
They pleaded not guilty. And now they don’t recognize it. They continue to insist: they helped the Batalovs from the bottom of their hearts. The widow and daughter of the People’s Artist really need help. Maria is a disabled child suffering from severe cerebral palsy. Gitana Arkadievna is 87 years old, it is difficult for her to take care of her sick daughter.
Criminal case hearings are held every week in the Zamoskvoretskyi court. Witnesses are being questioned. But nothing new, except for what was repeatedly said in various talk shows dedicated to the “Batalov case”. Wondering why the process is taking so long? There is no answer to this question.
Not so long ago, by a court decision, the “Alexei Batalov” Charitable Foundation was closed (the documents for its creation were declared invalid). The widow and daughter of Alexei Vladimirovich claim that the fund was created behind their backs by Tsivin and Drozzhina (in 2018). Although Gitana Leontenko was named as the president of the fund.
Maria Batalova was actually given back all her property. There is a court order to return the money. But the Batalovs have not yet received them, the opponents filed a complaint.
– Another case against Drozzhina will be heard on November 1. It is about the money she received for renting the apartment of Masha (Batalova), – said lawyer Sergey Lukin. – This apartment in Samotechny Lane was returned to Masha in September last year. But Drozhina continued to take money from the tenants.
As we understand, not only the Batalovs are filing new cases. But Drozzhina and Tsyvin are not sitting idly by. That day Natalia Georgievna filed her case. She insists that Maria Batalova give her rooms in a municipal apartment, which Drozzhina, on her own initiative, bought at the expense of the Batalovs. The money (those that were withdrawn from the accounts) has not yet been returned, but it already requires a room …
It is hard to imagine when the parties to this conflict will run out of patience or moral strength to continue arguing and litigating.
